What is BitFrame ?

BitFrame is a wifi enabled notice board that displays a single number.

How do I update the number ?

There are multiple ways to update the number. You can use the web dashboard, the API or email. On certain models, you can physically update the number by punching a keypad as well.

Can I use alphabets as well ?

By default, the BitFrame is designed to display numbers well. However, if you wish, you can make use of some alphabets.

The following characters can’t be displayed - K M V W X Z. The characters will be displayd as a - (dash) sign.

Alphabets are displayed in a different color than numbers - for telling apart similar characters (5/S, 0/O, 1/I, 9/Q)

Do I need internet to use a BitFrame ?

Yes, since the BitFrame uses the internet/Wifi to get updates, you will need a WiFi connection to use the BitFrame.

How does the API work ?

You can use the API to automate the BitFrame updates. So if you use an ERP, you can program it to automatically update any number on the BitFrame.

Do I have to host any software ?

No, all services are hosted by us. You don’t need to install anything on your computer/mobiles.

How do I update the BitFrame using the dashboard ?

The dashboard shows you a list of all devices linked to your account. You can click on any device and update the number. You can also schedule updates for any device.

How do I provide WiFi credentials - SSID / Password ?

There are two ways to provide the WiFi credentials.

  1. (RECOMMENDED) Provide us the details while your booking process. If you already have a BitFrame, we will automatically assign the WiFi credentials to all future purchases.
  2. Connect the BitFrame using an ethernet connection, then open the dashboard and set the WiFi SSID/password as needed.

To change the WiFi SSID/password, you can use the same method on the dashboard.
